everything went smoothly but nothing grew and my kit turned.. slimy. Ew.

Bought x2 3ml psilocybe spore syringes. Postage took longer than most companies, though its to be expected with reduced opening times. However, under the microscope both syringes had contamination, so totally unusable.

Received my oder but with no spore syringe! Emailed 3 times over nearly 3 weeks and yet to get a reply. Not happy.

I was very pleased with my first order of golden teacher the spores were brilliant and from payment to getting my spores it was about 4 days with Royal Mail .
My second order of stargazer and blue meanies I can’t comment on because I never received my order I was told it had been despatched but a month later and I’m still waiting so only 2 stars from me and undecided whether or not to reorder.

Ordered this product, but unfortunately upon observing under a microscope appeared to have been contaminated with some unwanted spores.

Not great.

My kit became contaminated. I've sent two messages now and have had no reply.

Good products but customer service is close to non existent

Very disappointed. The product took much longer to arrive due to a supply shortage and me paying for next day delivery. I was only informed about this after emailing.

Had I known the product is basically three plastic IKEA containers with a couple of holes drilled in, I would not have spent almost £200 on this, especially when I’ve had two contaminated monotubs and one with no growth using it.

The website states this product contains everything you need. Yet it does not included an incubator mat, which the instructions show you to use.

As previously mentioned, two out of three monotubs became contaminated despite me taking extreme precaution to avoid that from happening. (I wore gloves, mask. Sterilised room, body and equipment and used the SAB.)
I must add however, that on complaining about the first contaminated tub, I was sent another for free. Sadly that became contaminated as well.)
The final inoculated monotub has shown no growth in over two weeks despite being in the incubator with the correct temperature and set up.

I threw the contaminated tubs away and throughly sanitised the incubator, but due to the lingering smell and my fears that it will caused further contamination, I’ve placed the final monotub in a cardboard box and turned the heating up instead.

Extremely disappointing when I’ve spent over £200 on this product, two monotubs and syringe. I messaged cylocybe.co.uk but have not had a reply in three days. Due to the nature of my complaint, I would expect a speedy one.

I was so excited to find this company, but after multiple disappointments, I will not be purchasing anything else from them.

PROS AND CONS

+ Sent a free monotub when the first one was contaminated

+ Nice, friendly staff

- Make shift IKEA container missing pieces and no mat included despite instructions telling me to use one.

-The SAB didn’t prevent contamination despite all other precautions being taken. (This may of course be the fault of pre contaminated syringe or tubs.)

-Two contaminated Monotubs and one that hasn’t shown any growth.

My first buy was a great experience. But the second one was disappointing and felt ignored as they don’t bother responding. The kit failed as I had ordered two grow boxes which were inoculated at the same time kept in the same place. But one box didn’t have any mycelium growth. Contacted them twice and had no response. I guess I am not that important.
