Psilocybe tampanensis
Found once, near Tampa, Florida, in 1977. One wild mushroom, and it has barely been seen in the wild since.
Every tampanensis around today comes from that single find, kept going by mycologists who passed it on.
Spore Syringe
- Spores suspended in sterile distilled water in a BD Luer-Lok syringe

- One sterile wrapped 21G (0.9 mm) x 40 mm luer-locking needle
- One sterile 70% isopropyl alcohol / 2% chlorhexidine wipe, for cleaning your slides before dropping spores on to
- Sealed in a light-blocking mylar foil bag, labelled on the outside of the bag
Spore Print
A spore print is made by laying a mushroom cap gills-down on a clean surface and leaving it overnight. The spores fall out of the gills and leave a print the shape of the cap.
Prints last a lot longer than syringes. Keep yours somewhere dry, dark and cool and it will be good for years.
How Clean
Spore syringes at Cylocybe are inherently clean. Why? Because the full life cycle of the mushroom has been within a lab.
